Little Boys...

Little boys come in all shapes and sizes,
Shy and adventurous, full of surprises,
With misshapen halos and mischievous grins,
Small dirty faces, and sweet, sticky chins.
They'll keep you so busy, and yet all the while,
Nothing can brighten the world like their smile.
And no greater treasure has brought homes more joy,
Than a curious, active, and lovable boy!

Look at this Face...

It looks like I have only taken pictures of Sawyer in this sweater, but these are some of my favorite pictures. Sawyer got this sweater from his Kana for Christmas. It is handmade in Ecuador. I love this face! Also, check out his chunky cheeks. He has hit a growth spurt, already wearing 3T pants.

Let Me Out...

Football Cake...

I made this brownie cake for Superbowl Sunday. Sawyer loves cake, so we had to make a baseball cake too. He is all about sports!

Sledding Madness...

Camping Inside...

We have been enjoying fun Christmas presents like sleeping bags and tents during the cold, snowy weather.

More Snow...

Shaving with Daddy...

Of course, Sawyer isn't really shaving, but he likes to pretend.

Philippians 4:7

I have been holding this scripture very closely to my heart over the past month. God has been teaching me about true peace from him. I have always struggled my whole life with worry and trying to control my own life, but God is slowly but surely teaching me to trust him completely and know the peace that can only come from him. Hope this scripture is encouraging to you.

Always be joyful because you belong to the Lord. I will say it again. Be joyful. Let everyone know how gentle you are. The Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything. Instead, tell God about everything. Ask and pray. Give thanks to him. Then God's peace will watch over your hearts and your minds because you belong to Christ Jesus. God's peace can never be completely understood. Finally my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right, and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things. Do what you have learned or received or heard from me. Follow my example. The God who gives peace will be with you.
