36 weeks with Lily Scout...

As I near the end of 36 weeks, my doctor's visit on Tuesday went really well.
I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Lily Scout is head down and Dr. Hunt thinks she will be around 7lbs. just like Sawyer. I go back on Tuesday to see if I have progressed anymore. Only 3 more visits. We are so excited! I'll keep you posted!

5 years...

I'm posting a little early, but you must understand that I'm nesting. Michael and I will be celebrating our 5th year wedding anniversary on November 6th. I pulled a few photos to remember the occasion. We aren't sure how we will celebrate yet due to the new baby and football. Hopefully we will go on a date on Saturday! I'll keep you posted!

Cowboy Woody...

Just remember...cowboys do not SMILE

We were the only people at the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday afternoon. We gave the camera to Sawyer and showed him where to push the button to take the pic. It turned out to be perfect...see my belly and see Michael's pumpkin. Well...they are pretty much the same size!

Three Peat...

Michael's high school team, Tuscola, where he played and now coaches running backs, beat their rival Pisgah 41-10 Friday night for the 3rd consecutive year. It is a HUGE game. We are talking one of the top 30 rivalry games in the NATION!! (As voted on by Great American Rivalries)There were over 12,000 fans at the game. This is for bragging rights for the next year for Michael. There are only two high schools in the county. Tuscola, where Michael coaches, and Pisgah, where Jody, Duke and Cob (Michael's Uncle and two cousins) coach. It is the first time in 22 years that Tuscola has beaten Pisgah 3 straight times so needless to say we have been celebrating that win and the big CLEMSON win today!!!

Happy Birthday Mema...

Mema's birthday is on Monday...hope you have a wonderful birthday! This pic was from this past Christmas.

So blessed...

Those of you that know me well, know that the fall is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about fall; football, pumpkins, Halloween(fave holiday), leaves, everything that goes along with the fall. Now, I'm going to have a baby in the fall and I do not know how to contain myself with the excitement of fall and a new baby. On Sunday, my staff at Long's gave me a surprise baby shower. It was so nice and we got so many great things for Lily Scout! I feel so blessed to know that God has put such special people into my life. Hey I got more diapers and wipes. I'll give a count again like I did with Sawyer.

"With your own eyes you saw my body being formed. Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything I would do." Psalm 139:16

Tomorrow I start my weekly visits. Wow...here we go!

Big brother...

Here is Sawyer practicing with my baby from when I was a child. He was even sharing his buggie with her. He wanted me to take a pic. They were watching cartoons together on the couch. He is super excited about the baby. He is also doing some strange behaviors. We are all adjusting to these behaviors.

Taking a break...

So life has been crazy with the Belue Crew. Not only is it football season, but I'm pregnant, working fulltime, teaching a class at Southwestern Community College, helping out with a tutoring program called Roots, and I'm tutoring my brother for the SAT. Here is a pic of the guys taking a break from SAT prep to do some much needed sword fighting!

Asleep again...

Check out Sawyer's new pjs from his birthday. They came with a removable cape. He is also sleeping with a tiny, brown football.

Sawyer and Kale...

We love hanging out with the Holloways for football or UFC. As you can see, Sawyer is all smiles cause he loves Kale. They are best buddies!

Llama Llama mad at mama...

Sawyer's favorite book...check it out by Anna Dewdney. You may even find your family saying, "no more of this llama drama!"

Today I am thankful for....

cool mountain air,
a dirty house,
pumpkin spice lattes,
a child's giggle,
a teacher praying with her children,
a fall festival,
salad for lunch,
boots,
the movement of a baby inside of me,
surprises,
good health,
an encouraging note,
prayer from others,
500 questions from a 3 year old,
October,
hope,
adversity which brings wisdom!

Still Growing...

Well...not only have I been growing physically, but God has been teaching me so much spirtually. He has given me so many opportunities to learn about others and our society's quickness to judge. It seems like everywhere I go, I hear someone complaining whether it is about our president, football players, coaches, teachers, leaders you name it...someone will be quick to pass judgement or criticize. Just the other day I was getting my oil changed and I met a complete stranger who gave me a run down of a kid from our community and why they thought he wasn't going to be successful in his college sport. I was sitting in complete shock.

Over the past 3 years, God has been really speaking to me and my inability to please others.I know he laughs at me, cause my purpose isn't to please others, but to please HIM. I'm really hard-headed and seem to always forget this purpose. This all started when I coached and has now continued in every aspect of my life. I have been convicted to think before I criticize...to really be mindful of my opinion, but more importantly to pray. To pray for even those people I do not agree with. As, I was reading a small devotion book tonight I came across this scripture,

"Obviously, I'm not trying to be a people pleaser! No, I am trying to please God.If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ's servant."
Galations 1:10 NLT

I am so excited to see where God is taking me. I know that I am constantly being placed in the line of criticism and I am going to be surrounded by those who criticize others. May I one day figure out that it isn't about pleasing others, but to work for pleasing God. May I be an example of a leader who prays, who prays for leaders everywhere no matter how big or how small their position.

It is easy to criticize, but hard to remember to pray...to want others to be successful! May I encourage others and serve God!

3D Ultrasound....

Well...yesterday we had the free 3D ultrasound of Lily Scout. She is doing great with her development. According to the measurements yesterday, she is measuring a week ahead and weighs about 5lbs, and she is still a GIRL. The two funniest things about the ultrasound were her ability to suck her thumb the whole time (not kidding...it was so cute) and the fact that she has lots of hair. Those of you that know me well, know that I do not like hair. I'm weird about too much hair. I'm trying to prepare myself for a head full of hair on this sweet baby girl. Really, I'm just thankful that she is healthy. I was laughing at the end b/c we had determined that she had a wide nose, big lips, and alot of hair. Too funny!!I'm still trying to figure out how to convert the 3D pics from my CD. They do not want to save as a normal pic, but as a video. So enjoy the 2D pics for now!

I told Sawyer that she looked like him...he was so excited! He said she is so cute!
