Random Thoughts...

I love the snow! I think it is one of God's most beautiful creations. It is really hard for me to listen to others complain about the snow. In my mind, I am thinking, just relax and take the time to enjoy such special times with your family. I have decided to be really aware of my opinions about the weather cause we need to live in the now and not wish away every season that we are given away. Be satisfied, we are so blessed.

A great teacher likes the kid that is difficult, challenging, orjust down right trouble. A great teacher looks at this situation as an opportunity to help out a child, to make a difference. It is easy to be a great teacher when you have a cookie-cutter kid.

Beginnings are usually scary, endings are usually sad. It is what happens in the middle that counts the most.  I have to constantly remind myself of this, I want to live each day to the fullest cause that is what counts the most.

Stop looking ahead at things to come, cause then the days pass away and you have forgotten to enjoy the present day!

New Things...

This past week, Sawyer went to his first Tiny Tigers Tae Kwon Do(sp?). At the beginning of the class I had to stand with him and about 15 other children and kick, but by the end of the class he didn't need me anymore. I'll have to take the camera this week and capture the excitement!

See pics below of Sawyer's first sleepover with a friend!

Eating cereal as a nightly snack

Brushing thier teeth

Ready for bed,watching Toy Story

Last night, Sawyer had his first sleepover with our neighbor Jake. They played with swords, guns, football players, watched Narnia and Toy Story, ate popcorn and had a blast! Sawyer was out of control with excitement. They actually both slept on the pallete Michael made all night long.

The funniest thing about the whole sleepover experience was the fact that Sawyer and Jake insisted on riding the John Deere Gator to Jake's house on  Monday morning. So, Sawyer helped Jake load up his backpack, sword and gun and headed to Jake's front door. It was too cute!

Best Friends...

I didn't realize how early Scout and Sawyer would become best friends. They love each other so much. She watches Sawyer's every move and he loves to hold her in his arms. They are so sweet together.

Sweet Scout...

Today, Lily Scout got her 2 month shots. She was not a happy camper, but seems to be doing really well despite the three boo-boos on her legs.

She has started smiling and talking lots. We love her little personality!

Best Days of My Life...

I can honestly say,  I have had the best days of my life since Nov.17th, 2009. I am so thankful for:

1. Lily Scout
2. Getting to spend time with Sawyer and Michael (Christmas break, snowdays)
3. Playing in the snow
4. Having time to cook
5. Working out
6. Cleaning house
7. Taking on projects around the house (like wine rack, cabinets, and living room table)
8. Just feeling like I'm living my purpose in life, to love Jesus and take care of my family!

I am so thankful!

Big Surprises...

Sawyer found a John Deere Gator in a big tunnel. He was so excited to have something to haul his new sister and football of course!

Idea...

Every year Sawyer and I go outside and collect twigs to be used to hang our Christmas cards on. This is how I display our Christmas cards. It is a great way to see the cards and provides great decoration too!

Ivy and Lily Scout...

Tradition with Friends...

Every year we get together with friends that I actually went to highschool with and celebrate Christmas. Check out our kiddos. We are gonna need a bigger couch next year!

Yellow and Boots....

Sawyer's big brother shirt that he painted with some help from Aunt Lee Lee!

Christmas Eve Nativity...

Sawyer was a sheep, Lily Scout was baby Jesus, and I was a shepherd watching over my two kiddos and Joseph cause he decided to hold a candle during the candlelight over baby Jesus and the hay!
