Llama Llama mad at mama...

Sawyer's favorite book...check it out by Anna Dewdney. You may even find your family saying, "no more of this llama drama!"

Today I am thankful for....

cool mountain air,
a dirty house,
pumpkin spice lattes,
a child's giggle,
a teacher praying with her children,
a fall festival,
salad for lunch,
boots,
the movement of a baby inside of me,
surprises,
good health,
an encouraging note,
prayer from others,
500 questions from a 3 year old,
October,
hope,
adversity which brings wisdom!

Still Growing...

Well...not only have I been growing physically, but God has been teaching me so much spirtually. He has given me so many opportunities to learn about others and our society's quickness to judge. It seems like everywhere I go, I hear someone complaining whether it is about our president, football players, coaches, teachers, leaders you name it...someone will be quick to pass judgement or criticize. Just the other day I was getting my oil changed and I met a complete stranger who gave me a run down of a kid from our community and why they thought he wasn't going to be successful in his college sport. I was sitting in complete shock.

Over the past 3 years, God has been really speaking to me and my inability to please others.I know he laughs at me, cause my purpose isn't to please others, but to please HIM. I'm really hard-headed and seem to always forget this purpose. This all started when I coached and has now continued in every aspect of my life. I have been convicted to think before I criticize...to really be mindful of my opinion, but more importantly to pray. To pray for even those people I do not agree with. As, I was reading a small devotion book tonight I came across this scripture,

"Obviously, I'm not trying to be a people pleaser! No, I am trying to please God.If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ's servant."
Galations 1:10 NLT

I am so excited to see where God is taking me. I know that I am constantly being placed in the line of criticism and I am going to be surrounded by those who criticize others. May I one day figure out that it isn't about pleasing others, but to work for pleasing God. May I be an example of a leader who prays, who prays for leaders everywhere no matter how big or how small their position.

It is easy to criticize, but hard to remember to pray...to want others to be successful! May I encourage others and serve God!

3D Ultrasound....

Well...yesterday we had the free 3D ultrasound of Lily Scout. She is doing great with her development. According to the measurements yesterday, she is measuring a week ahead and weighs about 5lbs, and she is still a GIRL. The two funniest things about the ultrasound were her ability to suck her thumb the whole time (not kidding...it was so cute) and the fact that she has lots of hair. Those of you that know me well, know that I do not like hair. I'm weird about too much hair. I'm trying to prepare myself for a head full of hair on this sweet baby girl. Really, I'm just thankful that she is healthy. I was laughing at the end b/c we had determined that she had a wide nose, big lips, and alot of hair. Too funny!!I'm still trying to figure out how to convert the 3D pics from my CD. They do not want to save as a normal pic, but as a video. So enjoy the 2D pics for now!

I told Sawyer that she looked like him...he was so excited! He said she is so cute!

Reading with Daddy...

32 weeks with Lily Scout...

So, I started 32 weeks yesterday. I had a doctor's appt. today and Lily Scout was as spunky as ever. She was kicking the heart beat probe and moving around like crazy. I have gained 15 pounds so far. I go on Monday for a free 3D ultrasound at the local community college. So excited to see her one more time before arrival in November. Now I go 2 more times before I start going every week to the doctor. Can't wait!

On Sunday, I had a baby shower in Cullowhee. My friend's Alicia and Amanda hosted a diaper and wipe shower. Here are a few pics of Lily Scout's closet of clothes and supplies.

Baby Name...

So, after much thought and contemplation, we have decided to name our sweet girl, Lily Scout Belue. We will call her Lily Scout. It became real to us when Sawyer was asked what we were going to name the baby and he said Lillian Scout. It was so cute. Looks like we may go with just Lily instead of Lillian, but who knows. We are getting super excited as November 23rd quickly approaches.

I forget how grown up Sawyer is already. We went today for his 3 year old check up and he was such a ham for the doctor and nurse. He even had to do a vision screening which really surprised me. He did exactly what the nurse ask him to do. He told the doctor that his favorite food was chicken finger-tootie-lootie-bootie. He weights 31 pounds and is 37 inches tall. He is in the 50% compared to other children.

I was helping Sawyer in the bathroom the other day and he said Mama when you have Scout you can jump in the pool with me. I don't think I realized how many things I couldn't do with him this summer. He probably thinks I'm really boring.

Our Favorite Family Spot...

Every year, Michael and I get Fall Fever so we head off to the Parkway which is literally in our backyard. We go to this same special place and take pics, pick blackberries and blueberries, find spiderwebs (from Charlotte of course), and just enjoy God's beautiful creation.
