Nice to meet you...

How cute...

So, the hardest thing with Scout's delivery was the fact that Sawyer could not come to the hospital because of the ban of anyone under the age of 18 due to the flu. So these are pics of Sawyer meeting Scout for the first time as we left the hospital.

Thanks Tench...

Jenny Tench Holloway (Kale's Mama) made this cute diaper stack for Lily Scout. It took her all day and we are so greatful for all of the diapers, teethers, handbands, socks, lotions, bottles, and our favortie pink buggie!!
Sawyer got this huge pumpkin from Kana. We were not sure what to do with it, but Sawyer knew exaclty what he wanted to do, hammer and poke. So he took his tool kit outside and had fun banging around on the huge pumpkin. He kept saying he was Bob the Builder.

Unique Pumpkin...

This year we let Sawyer use Michael's drill to drill holes in our family pumpkin. Sawyer loved it and it was so cool to see the light through all of the holes in the pumpkin! I couldn't capture a pic of it all lit up, but it was cool!

PBR Here I Come....

Goodbye Paci...

We had one more paci left for Sawyer and he bit a hole in it. So we made a deal. We went to Walmart and he picked out Snakes Eyes (GI Joe) and a fire/police station. On the third day, he brought Snake Eyes to Michael and said I want my paci back. So, he has actually given up the paci at school but uses it at home for sleeping. We are working on getting rid of it completly, but want to make this new change with the baby as easy as possible for him. He is so grown up.

Still Waiting....

Well, I will be 39 weeks on Monday. I've been having contractions for 2 days now, but nothing that lasts for long periods of time. We are patiently awaiting the big day for Lily Scout to arrive. In the meantime, we have cleaned every square inch of our house and have now started on the outside(mowing, cleaning up toys, etc). Michael even cleaned the basement. Sawyer is really excited about being a big brother. One day this week, he said, "Mama, when are you going into labor?" It was so cute. I bet he feels like I've been pregnant for 9 years!!

Then on another funny note...Ms. Carla(Sawyer's Preschool Teacher)came in my office this week laughing. She said, "I don't think I've ever had a three year old ask me this question!" Of course the first thing that came to my mind was what did my child ask and of course I was right. Sawyer asked Ms. Carla if she wanted a cold beer. She played along with him and just laughed. Funny times!!

Encouraging Words...

1. I refuse to be shackled by yesterday's failures.

2. What I don't know I will no longer allow to intimidate me. I will instead view it as an opportunity.

3. I will not allow others to define my mood, my method, my image or my mission.

4. I will pursue a mission greater than myself by making at least one person happy that he or she saw me.

5. I will not tolerate self-pity, gossip or negativisim from myself or others.

38 weeks with Lily Scout...

I'm still with baby, 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I go to the doc on Tuesday to see if anything else has happened. This weekend I had a 3rd shower for Scout and had a great time! So far, we have 1,349 diapers and 1,416 wipes. We asked for practical things cause we have been so blessed with clothes from friends and family. I have lots of pics to post, but I am behind. Hopefully I will get them posted soon!
