Merry Christmas...

Belue Happenings...

I know that I have not posted in a while. I'm actually sitting in the car with Sawyer while he sleeps. Michael, Brody and the gang are shopping in REI. We have been having so much fun over the past couple of weeks. One of my highlights is going to a live nativity. Sawyer loved it and my prayer is that those images stick in his head forever as he is learning more about Jesus. He has such a sweet spirit and I hope that he always has the desire to grow closer to Jesus.

Other things that have happened over the past year that I have neglected to tell about is the purchase of our new vehicle. We loved the Jetta but it was on its last leg and we needed a dependable family car. We bought a Chrysler Pacifica with bucket seats and a third row. We love the size of it and are so grateful to have something dependable.

Michael finished the football season being MAC Champs and we just attended the football banquet. We are still explaining to Sawyer about football season. He doesn't understand why we do not go to games anymore. Of course I've tried to explain details about the different seasons. It may take a while.

As I look back over the year, I see how blessed we have been. God has given us blessing after blessing. He has been really working on me over the year as I have adopted the desire to SIMPLIFY.

Thanksgiving Visit...

Ivy came to visit Sawyer on Thanksgiving for a little while.

Christmas Tree...

We actually put our Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving this year. Here are a few pics of how it all went down. We put our tree up in the middle of our floor this year. We love it because we can see all sides of the tree.

G.I. Joes with Daddy...

Michael has all of GI Joes from when he was a kid. Well, now Sawyer is all into them too. They got to catch up on a lot of lost time from football season over the holidays. They are quite a pair.

Little Drummer Boy...

Sawyer is amazed by drums. I came up with a creative way to tie this to his neck, we are using a belt that is too big for him. This way he can walk and play at the same time. Hopefully, soon we will start drum lessons. He can actually keep a good, steady beat.

Thankful Heart...

Sawyer helped McKenzie set the table. As you see, he wanted to cross the silverware. We had a great day hanging in our pajamas, eating, and taking naps. We also saw a movie on Thanksgiving night. This is a tradition we have each year! We are all so blessed!!

Sweet Talk....

We were riding in the car the other morning and this is how the conversation went between Sawyer and I. I'm not putting in quotations b/c I do not have to b/c I'm not in English class.

Me: Sawyer, look at that beautiful tree.
Sawyer: God made that tree, Mama.
Me: You are right!
Sawyer: God the Father made that tree.
Me: (chuckle) You are absolutely right!!

At school, Sawyer's class sings a prayer about God our Father, but Sawyer calls him God the Father. It is so sweet and I love that he knows who gave us everything we have on this Earth!

Sliding at Fall Festival...

Ok...if you could have seen me climbing this huge slide with a 25 pound baby in my arms. I had on socks and had to climb up a rope to get to the top. But, we made it! Check us out!!I'm going to post another picture of Sawyer's face at the end of the slide.
