Little boys come in all shapes and sizes,
Shy and adventurous, full of surprises,
With misshapen halos and mischievous grins,
Small dirty faces, and sweet, sticky chins.
They'll keep you so busy, and yet all the while,
Nothing can brighten the world like their smile.
And no greater treasure has brought homes more joy,
Than a curious, active, and lovable boy!

Philippians 4:7
I have been holding this scripture very closely to my heart over the past month. God has been teaching me about true peace from him. I have always struggled my whole life with worry and trying to control my own life, but God is slowly but surely teaching me to trust him completely and know the peace that can only come from him. Hope this scripture is encouraging to you.
Always be joyful because you belong to the Lord. I will say it again. Be joyful. Let everyone know how gentle you are. The Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything. Instead, tell God about everything. Ask and pray. Give thanks to him. Then God's peace will watch over your hearts and your minds because you belong to Christ Jesus. God's peace can never be completely understood. Finally my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right, and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things. Do what you have learned or received or heard from me. Follow my example. The God who gives peace will be with you.

Belue Happenings...
I know that I have not posted in a while. I'm actually sitting in the car with Sawyer while he sleeps. Michael, Brody and the gang are shopping in REI. We have been having so much fun over the past couple of weeks. One of my highlights is going to a live nativity. Sawyer loved it and my prayer is that those images stick in his head forever as he is learning more about Jesus. He has such a sweet spirit and I hope that he always has the desire to grow closer to Jesus.
Other things that have happened over the past year that I have neglected to tell about is the purchase of our new vehicle. We loved the Jetta but it was on its last leg and we needed a dependable family car. We bought a Chrysler Pacifica with bucket seats and a third row. We love the size of it and are so grateful to have something dependable.
Michael finished the football season being MAC Champs and we just attended the football banquet. We are still explaining to Sawyer about football season. He doesn't understand why we do not go to games anymore. Of course I've tried to explain details about the different seasons. It may take a while.
As I look back over the year, I see how blessed we have been. God has given us blessing after blessing. He has been really working on me over the year as I have adopted the desire to SIMPLIFY.
I wish all of you a Merry Christmas!!
