Well, as many of you know I am 5 classes away from having my Master's Degree in Birth to Kindergarten-Teaching. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing! As I've been taking classes it seems that I am learning so much because I get to be a new Mama along the way. Sawyer became fascinated with quarters at Mema's house and he wanted to pick them up and put them in Uncle Kenzie's bank. So now he has discovered that his Clemson football is also a bank. He goes into his room and points until I get the football down and allow him to drop the coins one by one. I love that he enjoys doing this becasue I see how well his fine motor skills are improving (I know...I'm a nerd). Anyway it is crazy how I think about development now that I am constantly researching hot topics and getting experience first hand too. I have also realized that children develop so differently. Even though I read all of this research and do papers...I'm convinced to just let Sawyer guide me in his learning. He is such a little explorer and I love that. I sound so nerdy...but I really do not focus on his development but am constantly amazed at how Sawyer explores on his own!
