I Admire You...
My heart was totally encouraged when somone told me that she admired me. I was totally shocked and humbled when she went on to explain that she thought I was a good mom and wife, loved God, and a very hardworker. I was totally in shock, but glad to be encouraged to keep on keeping on.
Challenge yourself to encourage someone else today with kind words. It will go a long way!
Sidenote: I was running today and I saw a lady in her 70s walking the streets picking up litter. I thought to myself, hope I can do that when I am 70 and also glad for the lady that she could be outdoors and moving around!
Other sidenote: I love talking to wise, older women. It makes my heart happy to hear about their lives long ago and where they've been and where they are now! Takes me back to Clemson when I used to sit with Beulah Dee at Sterling House Assisted Living Center and talk for hours about her younger years. Then we would play BINGO. Boy, those were good times, good times that have taught me so much!

Scoutems...
Oh...our sweet Scout is 3 months old today. She is such a blessing to our lives. We are so thankful that God has allowed us to take care of one of his sweetest children. Scout, I know that you will grow to accept Jesus into your heart and let him use you to tell others about him. You are such a bright spot in our lives and you have a way of drawing others to your sweet face already. We love you sweet girl!

Running...
So, I have gotten into a really good exercise routine since I had Lily Scout. Then, one day at the gym I had a friend ask if I wanted to train for a half-marathon with her. I just looked bug-eyed with nausea and said sure. Well, we have decided to train to run in several 5K races, the half-marathon will be down the road. We want to do one a month and have had lots of pain, sweat, and laughs along the way on our journey of training. This is what my schedule looks like:
Monday: Flex n' Pump
Tuesday: Short run
Wednesday: Short run, Flex n' Pump
Thursday: Zumba or Cycle
Friday: Short run, Flex n' Pump
Saturday: Get Fit Class
Sunday: Long run
The days we run have become days that I really look forward to cause each day I see our progress. It feels so good to have a goal and then accomplish it. I also like to sweat and enjoy the beauty of the mountains along the way. I can't wait for our first race!

More Sawyerisms...
Ya'll better straighten up like George Strait!!
You better go Daddy. You better go lift weights with those big muscles!
Hey Scout. Hey little chicken nose!
Mama, we are playing a conference game.
I am so blessed to have such a sweet boy who keeps me laughing with his creative lingo.
