Just a Swingin'

We got a swing for Sawyer, except we do not have any big trees in our yard yet. So we are using Michael's squat rack for now. It works and Sawyer loves to swing...you can tell from his face that he is having fun!

Nothin' Like a Mountain View

We are so blessed to see this view everyday from our front deck!

Splish...Splash

Sawyer loves to take a bath. His new thing is to sit up in the bathtub. Luckily his seat converts to sitting up too. We have brought out the bath letters, boats and ducks. He gets so excited and kicks constantly.

Oh the Places We Go in the Baby Bjorn!

Sawyer loves to be carried in the Baby Bjorn. We go to the gym and walk the indoor track, we walk outside at the lake or in our neighborhood, we go shopping, to football and basketball games, we even walk around the house in the Bjorn. The end result usually means that Sawyer falls fast to sleep.

Sawyer's First Christmas!

We haven't posted anything in a while as you can tell, we have been really busy with Christmas activities. There is so much more to do when you have a little one. The Belue family has started a few new traditions this year. Even though Sawyer is only 4 months old, we managed to still decorate the Christmas presents with his hand and footprints. I didn't use the right paint(tempera) but you can tell for the most part what we were trying to do. Sawyer also did some finger painting to cover some of the mishaps. We read Twas the Night Before Christmas to Sawyer too...it didn't matter that he was fast asleep, we knew he could still hear. We can't wait for Sawyer to be big enough to help Mema make mice for Christmas out of chocolate of course. He managed to wake us up right on time for Christmas presents around 7:30am. He was very excited about tearing into the presents. He actually would grab each present after we would open it. It was so cute. We will be posting pictures soon. We got a new camera so we have to figure out how to download pics again. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Front Page of Dedication Bulletin

Sawyer Belue
August 13, 2006

Little hands, may they reach to help the hurting
Little eyes, may they see only the good in all
Little heart, may it beat for Your will and no other
Little ears, may they hear the still small voice of the Lord.
Little feet, may they walk on the straight and narrow path
Little mouth, may it proclaim, the goodness of the Lord.

Lord keep Your hands upon our little Sawyer
love and guide him, Jesus walk beside him
Lord keep Your hands upon our little baby
Our precious gift from above.

And when he's grown, and we are gone,
we pray Your name he carries on
And by Your will, Oh Lord let it be
that he'll live with us for eternity.

Love,

Sawyer's Dedication Letters

To my sweet Sawyer,
The journey began on December 12th, 2005. Your Daddy and I found out that we were going to have a baby and we were so excited! From that very moment, I finally knew what “faith” was all about. As you began to grow and move inside of me, I was overwhelmed with a sense of joy and peace because I knew that God’s hand was making you and he was making you exactly who he wanted you to be. On August 13th at 10:52pm, I met you and fell in love with everything about you. God had given us a sweet, healthy baby boy. What a miracle!
As I watch you grow, I am constantly amazed at God’s grace and his blessings upon my life. He has given me a Godly husband and now a son. Each morning I long to see you awake and look up at me with those bright eyes and big smile. I now understand more about God’s unconditional love.
May you welcome Jesus into your heart one day and experience His love for you. With Him all things are possible….he will never leave you. Now, I can’t wait to continue this journey with you, Sawyer.
I will always love you.
-Mama-

Dear Sawyer,
Wow! I can’t believe I have a son! You are only 3 months old and already my best friend and the coolest person I know. God has really blessed me with you. Your Mama and I prayed only for a healthy baby that would grow up with Christ in their heart and he has truly delivered. Even now I can see the love of Him in your sweet little smile. Jesus thank you for allowing us to spend time with Your Sawyer. Help us to raise him not how we would want him to be raised, but how you would have him be raised. You gave him to us, and now we give him back to you as the very best we have to offer.
Sawyer I pray that you grow to be a man that fears the one true Savior. Don’t become domesticated to your faith as this world would have you to be. Keep your eyes focused on Christ in all you do. Be a wild, barbaric soldier in His army. Don’t be afraid of the unknown. If it wasn’t for the guidance of Jesus, I would never have had the faith to bring you into this world. The challenge would have been too great. He gave me courage though, and He can do the same for you. I love you son, with all of my heart, but remember this—put the Lord in your heart and He will lead you!

“A man is never more a man than when he embraces an adventure beyond his control, or when he walks into a battle he isn’t sure of winning.”

Love,
Daddy

Dreaming of a White Christmas...

This picture is from last year...but we are dreaming of more snow for this Christmas! We are actually supposed to get some snow tonight.

"O Christmas Tree"

Here is our Christmas Tree for 2006. Sawyer loves the lights and he actually supervised while his Daddy and I put ornaments/lights on the tree!

"We Know"

Here is Michael's lifelong friend, Tyler Trantham(he sang in our wedding). Tyler and Michael grew up together and then were college roommates. They have continued hanging out together by lifting weights and playing racketball. Tyler is getting married in August to Rachel. She and I have been walking together and taking a killer class at the gym called "Body Blasters!" It is so hard. Anyway, we are so blessed to have so many awesome Godly friends in our life.

Meredith and Gabriel

Here is my dear friend Meredith with her nephew Gabriel. Meredith is one of my favorite people. She encourages me and is always praying for me and my family. Meredith is a "doula" so she helped me prepare for the coming of Sawyer's birth.

I'm a coach...just like my Daddy

Sports Fan

Little Sawyer has learned to be a sports fan...it runs in the family. Of course he is a Clemson fan, but he also pulls for the Tuscola Mountaineers, where Michael went to highschool and played football and now coaches football, and for the Smoky Mtn. Mustangs, where I went to highschool and played volleyball, basketball, and softball. Uncle Mac is in highschool now at Smoky and he is in basketball season right now. Here are a few pictures to show Sawyer's school spirit. He has a Mustang football and a Mountaineer football. I am very proud to announce that the Mustangs beat the Mountaineers this year 20 to 14.
