We Did It...

So, Regan and I completed our first 5K race on Saturday. It was a great experience and we feel like we accomplished our goal, to finish. The course was super hilly, but a great one to start with cause it can only get easier, right? Our next stop will be at the Lake Junaluska Bunny Run, then the Biltmore House 5K. Our journey continues! I have a few pics, I'll post later!

My time: 33.29

Next time, I'm gonna start near the front cause I wasted some time in the crowd.

I Admire You...

My heart was totally encouraged when somone told me that she admired me.  I was totally shocked and humbled when she went on to explain that she thought I was a good mom and wife, loved God, and a very hardworker. I was totally in shock, but glad to be encouraged to keep on keeping on.

Challenge yourself to encourage someone else today with kind words. It will go a long way!

Sidenote: I was running today and I saw a lady in her 70s walking the streets picking up litter. I thought to myself, hope I can do that when I am 70 and also glad for the lady that she could be outdoors and moving around!

Other sidenote: I love talking to wise, older women. It makes my heart happy to hear about their lives long ago and where they've been and where they are now! Takes me back to Clemson when I used to sit with Beulah Dee at Sterling House Assisted Living Center and talk for hours about her younger years. Then we would play BINGO. Boy, those were good times, good times that have taught me so much!

Scoutems...

Oh...our sweet Scout is 3 months old today. She is such a blessing to our lives. We are so thankful that God has allowed us to take care of one of his sweetest children. Scout, I know that you will grow to accept Jesus into your heart and let him use you to tell others about him. You are such a bright spot in our lives and you have a way of drawing others to your sweet face already. We love you sweet girl!
